Each year, five Board Members complete their terms, and five new members are elected during the Annual Meeting. Board members may be re-elected. If you have a child registered in BYH, you are eligible to vote for up to 5 individuals.

What contributions can you provide to help support and build BYH? Volunteer at fundraisers, be an active board member, support the BYH organization and the kids.
Briefly explain your reasons for wanting to be considered for BYH Board of Directors. The reason I want to join the BYH Board of directors is to help the organization continue to grow and support our young hockey players.

Describe past experience (volunteer, manager, coach, etc) within our Association: Coached learn to skate and learn to play, assistant coach for 8u cross ice
What contributions can you provide to help support and build BYH? I have spent my entire life here in Berlin area and played for BYH as a youth. I have seen the program be successful, and I have also seen its short falls. I bring a strong desire to see BYH flourish with a focus on what is right for the kids who play the great sport of hockey. I am patient when patience is needed, I am strong willed when change is required, and I understand that to be successful, there needs to be collaboration throughout the entire organization.
Briefly explain your reasons for wanting to be considered for BYH Board of Directors. After being involved with BYH for the past 3 years I have developed a passion for this organization and the kids that play in it. I am highly motivated to bring forward common sense ideas and to work with all other members of the board to ensure we are successful.

What contributions can you provide to help support and build BYH? I volunteer lots of time to organization for all the kids not just my own
Briefly explain your reasons for wanting to be considered for BYH Board of Directors. I feel help is needed to keep the organization running without volunteers it can't happen
Name: Kelly Turmel
What age level does your child/children play? 14U
Describe past experience (volunteer, manager, coach, etc) within our Association: I have been part of BYH for about 20 years.
What contributions can you provide to help support and build BYH? I feel I can contribute to BYH with my many years of experience in the organization. I have done many roles within BYH and have a lot of knowledge when it comes to the ins and outs of our organization. I am always willing to help with any project or event. I will lead fundraising events and always look for ways to better the organization for the kids to make sure they have everything they need to thrive in the sport they love and to compete with the other teams. I will always be looking for ideas for ways to help BYH become bigger and better and to provide more for our kids.
Briefly explain your reasons for wanting to be considered for BYH Board of Directors. I think I should be considered for the BYH Board of Directors because I truly have the best interest of every child in the organization at heart. I always vote with every kid in my mind and what is best for them. I will always be approachable to any member of the BYH body. I am willing to listen to any concerns anyone has and always willing to bring things to the board if needed. I will always be honest and transparent when approached. I will remain a big part of the fundraising committee and help with anything as needed.

Briefly explain your reasons for wanting to be considered for BYH Board of Directors. Merit needs to be the standard As a coach and advocate for Berlin youth hockey we need to focus on developing our kids to understand how to win and lose. Build friendships and competition within our own organization in order to push our kids to be their best
Name: CJ Valliere
What age level does your child/children play? 14u & 10u
Describe past experience (volunteer, manager, coach, etc) within our Association: I have been a member of the board since 2019 and treasurer since 2020. During my time I have been responsible for all incoming and outgoing payments, donations, and funds. I am solely responsible for completing the ByH taxes, maintaining our 501c3 non profit status with the IRS, keeping us in good standing with the NH Charitable Trust, and the NH Secretary of State. I have organized several golf tourneys, and other fundraisers including Spin-o-Rama, which brought in enough funds to bring our entire organization to Marlborough for 3 years in a row. I have been a team mom, and continue to volunteer during learn to skate. I volunteer many many hours organizing the handout and return of calendar tickets and the money that brings in. I manage all calendar ticket credits for each player in the organization and apply those to invoices when the time comes.
What contributions can you provide to help support and build BYH? If re-elected to serve another 3 years on the board, I'll continue to put my available time and effort into completing the duties of treasurer and help support the organization as best I can.
Briefly explain your reasons for wanting to be considered for BYH Board of Directors. My children are both part of this program, and until they are grown out of it, I will continue to help raise funds and support the kids in any way I can.
Name: Christine Grenier
What age level does your child/children play? Learn to skate/8U
Describe past experience (volunteer, manager, coach, etc) within our Association: I have been on the board for a little under 2 years. I have experience with volunteering in different positions. These include volunteering to help with learn to skate, running the clock for home games for the past 7 years, and was a Hockey Mom for a year.
What contributions can you provide to help support and build BYH? I am familiar with the organization and how the organization works. I have been involved in the organization for the past several years and I am familiar with the program from learn to skate up to peewees. I am aware of the areas that could use positive change and I am a vocal advocate for the organization and the best interest of the individual players.
Briefly explain your reasons for wanting to be considered for BYH Board of Directors. I want to continue making a difference with the organization through improving systems so that families within BYH have a good experience all around. Within the 2 years I have been involved with the Board, we have been working to make a lot of positive changes, that I would like to see to fruition.
